It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. - Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

Confronting Fear
Scripture
Fear is an enemy that seeks to steal our life if we let it, showing up unexpectedly at times. Conquering it is not something that we do in one day, or even in 1,000 days. It is something that we achieve one day at a time with God’s help. One of our goals should be to recognize it so we can deal with it right away.
Being free from fear doesn’t mean that we will never experience it or be confronted by it. It means that we are committed to not allowing it to rule our lives. Each time you feel fear and decide to “do it afraid,” you will enjoy a new level of freedom in Christ. Every day it’ll get a little easier and you will be one step closer to conquering your fears!

Tip
“Freedom from fear doesn’t mean the absence of its existence, but the refusal to let it control your decisions.”
— Joyce Meyer
Study Suggestion
Write down the fears you are struggling with in your life right now. Then, read Psalm 34:4, Psalm 56:3, Isaiah 41:10, and Psalm 27:1 and write down what they mean to you. Whenever that fear starts to rise up, use these verses to remind the enemy that you will not let it rule your life.
