But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new strength and renew their power; they will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.

Applying the Medicine of God’s Word
Scripture
Whatever your pain might be, wherever you are in life, God can make you whole.
He is our Healer, and His Word reveals the truth of His will for our lives and brings healing to us (Exodus 15:26). God’s Word has so much power—it’s like a medicine for our soul. When you speak His Word out loud over your life, it releases that power and does wonders for you.
If you need healing in an area of your life, I encourage you to begin taking some time each day—even if it’s just five minutes—to stop, get quiet, read God’s Word and focus on Him. Just like you would take time to wait at a doctor’s office, take a little time to wait on God, the Great Physician—healing always starts and ends with Him.
Medicine for Your Soul
Joyce shares encouragement about the power that comes from God’s Word.
Tip
“I want to encourage you moving forward—no matter what kind of pain or illness you’re dealing with, pray God’s Word over your life, do your part where God is leading you, and give the rest over to Him.”
— Joyce Meyer
