Ready to Move Forward?

He Who Is in You Is Greater Than He Who Is in the World.

Before you move forward, discovering key biblical principles Joyce shares in the soul-healing process, let’s take time today to make sure the foundation has been laid for you to make successful progress. Here are a few questions to help you with that:

  • How are you doing? Have you identified the wounds in your soul and the issues they’re causing in your life?
  • What have you discovered about God’s will for your life? What is His heart for you?
  • Have you prayed for God to help you face the truth about yourself so you can understand how to follow His lead in your journey to wholeness?
  • Are you able to see yourself as a new creation in Christ, not a victim of the hurtful experiences you’ve gone through?

The soul-healing journey is not for the faint of heart, and that’s okay, because you have the Holy Spirit living IN YOU, and His power is greater than anything else that exists!

As Joyce says above, you can do whatever you need to do in life through Christ. And it’s vitally important for you to understand who you are and what you have in Christ for you to take steps of faith toward total healing and restoration.

Today, meditate on and study these scriptures to strengthen your focus on God and build up your faith. The accompanying questions will help you apply the life-changing, mind-renewing truths that will propel you through your journey to wholeness.

I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose – I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]Philippians 4:13 (AMP)

How do you press through the pain and experience healing? Where does your confidence come from to boldly face the challenges of breaking free from the past?

…If God is for us, who can be against us? …In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.Romans 8:31, 37 (ESV)

Joyce says that being more than a conqueror means “we can live life with confidence that we will win every battle we face even before it begins. Many things are impossible with us, but nothing is impossible with God!” Do you believe God is bigger than your problems and all things are possible with Him? Why or why not?

…He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.1 John 4:4 (ESV)
Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God.1 John 5:5 (AMP)

What does this mean for you when you’re facing challenges that seem too hard to overcome?

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength... But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.Isaiah 40:29, 31 (ESV)

Remember where your strength really comes from and how critical it is to wait for the Lord every single day. What can you do to keep these verses on your mind daily?

As you continue your journey, keep these verses handy to refresh you when you feel discouraged or weary or just to reinforce the truth and renew your mind with God’s Word. The Bible is the sword of the Spirit and we must use it often to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might (Ephesians 6:10).
