And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
I have a nicely decorated sign in my home that says “Never, Never, Never Give Up!” Each time I see it, I am encouraged and reminded of the importance of being determined to keep doing what I know I am supposed to do. We all have times when we feel that we cannot go on and the temptation arises to give up. Satan would love it if we did, but we can decide to disappoint him. I once heard that the word “endure” means to outlast the devil. I like that thought! The apostle Paul teaches us to endure with good temper whatever comes (Colossians 3:12). Sounds challenging, but we can do it!
If you are struggling today or perhaps feeling weak in your resolve to press on due to problems that have lasted longer than you expected, I encourage you to set your mind and keep it set (see Colossians 3:2) that you will never, never, never give up! When we set our mind in the right direction, we are very difficult to defeat!
Even if you occasionally do have an emotional day, don’t feel condemned—just get right back up and keep on keeping on! No matter how many times we fall, we can get back up, and God will be with us to help us reach our goals!
Prayer of the Day: Father, You are my strength, and I need You at all times. Help me to never give up and to regularly be refreshed in Your presence.
