God Thinks About You

Tips for a Healthy Self-Image

Scripture

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body, all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you. Psalm 139:15-18 (NIV)

God saw us before we were even formed. In fact, He is the One who formed you with His own hands in your mother’s womb. He also recorded every day of your life in His book before you ever lived a single one of them.

God’s knowledge is so vast that we cannot understand it. He is omniscient, which means He knows everything. God thinks about us all the time, and that is quite humbling to David, who asks in Psalms 8:4 (NIV), What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? How amazing. God is mindful of us.

Take time to actually think about what today’s scriptures say. God’s thoughts toward us are so vast that they would outnumber all the grains of sand on all the beaches and in all the oceans in the world.

Imagine trying to count the grains of sand and then realizing that God thinks about you more than that. His thoughts about you are all good. He believes in you even when you don’t believe in yourself, and He was wonderful plans for you. Live with expectation.

Pray

“Father, I am grateful that You take time to think about me. When I feel lonely, help me remember that I am on Your mind and that You have wonderful plans for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
