Keeping a Gratitude Journal

Let's Remember all the Good Things He Does for Us!

Along with the Word of God, another thing you can meditate (focus, concentrate) on is a list of the good things God has done in your life. A great way to do this is to start a gratitude journal. This is just a journal you use to document the blessings of God that you are thankful for.

Many times we are frustrated and miserable over the course of the day because we think everything is going wrong. But the truth is that many things have gone right, and we just didn’t realize them—or we forgot about them already.

If you make a conscious decision to look out for the good things each day so you can put them down in your gratitude journal, you’ll have a much better day, and when you feel downcast, you can read your journal and recall the amazing things God has done in your life.

You’ll be surprised how much you have to be grateful for once you start to write your blessings down.

Prayer Starter

Father, thank You so much for the blessings You’ve placed in my life. Please help me to intentionally focus on the positive instead of the negative, and to keep a grateful attitude today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
