Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.

We all walk through troubled times in life, but sadly, not everyone knows they can go to God and receive the help they need. God protects, defends, and delivers us from our enemies. He even tells us that the battle is not ours but His (2 Chronicles 20:15). God created us with His own hand carefully and uniquely, and He will not forsake the work of His hands. You belong to God. You were bought with a precious price—the blood of Jesus. It is wonderful to know that if God is for us, it doesn’t matter who is against us (Romans 8:31).

When you are having trouble, if you begin to feel fear, spend some time waiting on God, because your salvation comes only from Him. As you quietly wait on God and seek Him in your heart, you will feel the assurance that He is with you and will meet your need. He won’t tell you how or when, but you can rest in His love and be assured that He won’t forsake you.

God’s job is to do what needs to be done, and our job is to trust Him. Practice saying aloud, several times a day, “God, I trust you.” Remember things He has done for you in the past, and they will encourage your faith to believe He will do again what you need Him to do.

Prayer of the Day: Lord, when trouble surrounds me, help me trust You above my fears. Remind me of Your faithfulness and give me confidence You are working on my behalf, amen.
