The Miraculous Lesson of Easter @tag1>
Joy, Redemption, and a New Beginning in Christ @tag2>

As holy season of Easter approaches, it represents a season to pause and reflect on the profound significance of Good Friday and Easter. Good Friday marks the day Jesus sacrificed His life for us on the cross. It was the day He took on all our sins, enduring the punishment we deserved. He suffered in our place, shedding His blood to atone for our mistakes. The spotless Lamb of God, sinless and pure, became the ultimate sacrifice, paying the price for our freedom from sin’s guilt and power.
Isaiah 53:4-5 (NIV) paints a vivid picture of His suffering: Surely, he took up our pain and bore our suffering… he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities…. His suffering was not in vain. Through His sacrifice, we find peace, healing, and redemption. Christ’s death, while painful and unjust, was the ultimate act of love. As 1 Peter 3:18 (NIV) tells us, For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God….
John 3:16 (NIV) offers the assurance of eternal life through Christ’s sacrifice: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. These promises are not just for others—they are for you. If you believe in your heart and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).
What is Salvation?
But what does it mean to be saved? 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that when we are born again, we become a new creation. The old has gone, and the new has come! Through Jesus’ sacrifice, our past mistakes are forgiven, and we are made right with God. This new life is not something we do on our own; through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live in a way that honors God.
As we move toward Easter, we remember the miracle of Christ’s resurrection. His victory over death means that grief and suffering are no longer the end of the story. Through His resurrection, we are given a second chance—a fresh start. Easter is a reminder that no matter our past, we have permission to leave it behind and embrace the hope and joy of a new life in Christ—forgiven of all our sins; past, present and future.
If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, there is no better time than now—this Easter weekend—to invite Him into your heart. Let go of past mistakes and embrace the forgiveness and freedom He offers. The slate has been wiped clean. Through Jesus’ love and grace, we are made whole.
