God’s Word and Your Spiritual Growth

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)

Give God’s Word first priority in your life. Don’t try to work God into your schedule, work your schedule around God. Find a quiet place to study and reflect on His Word without distraction. The Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105).

God’s Word is filled with promises to give us mercy and grace (Psalm 119:58).
