Love A Child: Jesus Healing Center Dedication @tag1>
On the anniversary of a devastating tragedy, Love A Child brought new hope and healing! @tag2>
In 2010, a devastating earthquake in Haiti left thousands of people homeless and in need. Jumping into action, Hand of Hope worked with longtime partner Love A Child to provide feeding and housing through their “Miracle Village,” saving those who had nowhere else to go.
This year, on the anniversary of that terrible disaster, Love A Child proudly held a dedication ceremony for the opening of their new Jesus Healing Center. The original center was designed to provide care for people in remote areas, who simply can’t access it anywhere else. And it was so successful that the growing need for a larger facility soon became a necessity! With monthly meals and operating costs continuing to be sponsored by Hand of Hope, this new clinic now has the space to keep performing its mission while helping even more people than before.
Love A Child additionally opened a new Malnutrition Center in the same month! Amid a growing food crisis, thousands of malnourished children are now able to receive specialized food and care at no cost. Love A Child Founders Bobby and Sherry Burnette had this special thanks to give:
“We especially want to thank Joyce Meyer Ministries – Hand of Hope, for sponsoring this Malnutrition Center building and for the furnishings inside! It took so many ‘hands’ working together.
“This Malnutrition Center is for the poor. We have three children here who had severe malnutrition and would have died had we not taken them in and gotten them help…Today, we give God in heaven ALL THE GLORY!!”
God is at work! Even in the face of tragedies like COVID-19 or the 2010 Haiti earthquake, outreaches like Love A Child and Hand of Hope are pushing tirelessly to bring God’s love and healing directly to those who need it most. And it’s all thanks to the generosity of our amazing giving partners—you make all of this possible. So thank YOU. Together, we can share Christ and love people!
