If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.

I truly believe that how we treat the people in our lives is very important to God. He loves people and wants us to love people as part of our service to Him.

People may forget what you said and what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel. Make each individual feel as if they matter and are valuable. Speak encouraging words, give gifts, and spend quality time with others. Listen with interest to what people say; make a big deal out of anything good that anyone does and shrug off their mistakes because we all make them. Be gentle, patient, and loving to each person you meet. There are many ways you can be good to other people, but they all boil down to love.

Prayer of the Day: Father, help me see people the way You do. Teach me to speak encouraging words, be patient with others' mistakes, and love people well, just as You love me, amen.
