Living with Discernment @tag1>
Adapted from Quiet Times with God
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ.
The gift of discernment is an important thing to have, and it is available to all those who have a relationship with God.
Here's how it works: Before you do anything, you can quickly check with your spirit to see if the thing you are about to do feels right. If you have peace, then proceed confidently. But if you are uncomfortable or confused, remain still. Ask God to give you His wisdom on how to proceed instead of rushing into something that you don't have peace about.
The exciting thing about moments like these is that every time you choose to listen to and follow the Holy Spirit's promptings, your spirit grows stronger in God, and more and more of God's wisdom is released in your life to operate in the fruit of the Spirit. When you seek to operate with discernment, God will guide you into His very best for your life.
Prayer of the Day: Holy Spirit, teach me to discern Your peace before I act. Help me listen closely to Your promptings and follow Your wisdom into Your best for my life.
