Turning Failure into Success @tag1>

Adapted from Wake Up to the Word
For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again….
No one sets out to fail or enjoys failing. But did you know that “failure” can be an important stepping-stone on the way to success? When we fail it teaches us what not to do, which is often as important as knowing what we are to do. Failure can actually be a benefit.
There are many stories told about how many times Thomas Edison tried and failed before he successfully invented the incandescent light bulb. I’ve heard he tried seven hundred times, two thousand times, and even ten thousand times. Whatever the true number is, it’s a staggering number of attempts. But Edison never gave up. It’s reported that he said in all his efforts, he never failed—not once; he just had to go through many, many steps to get it right!
It takes that kind of determination to do anything worthwhile. Failure doesn’t have to be the end; failure can be a new beginning.
Prayer of the Day: Lord, help me see failure not as defeat but as a step toward growth. Give me strength to learn, persevere, and trust You through every setback, amen.
