When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

The psalmist cried to the Lord, and He led him into a spacious (large) place. I often say I would rather believe God for a lot and get some of it than believe God for a little and get all of it. What kind of prayers do you pray? Are you bold enough to ask God for more than sounds reasonable to you? Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all that we [dare] ask or think (AMPC).

The psalmist also believed that God was with him. For this reason, he had no need to fear. Let’s believe we will have no fear in our lives. Fear is our enemy, and it desires to prevent us from making progress and to keep us living little lives filled with disappointment. We have nothing to fear as long as God is with us and we know that He loves us. He is greater than any enemy.

We should not fear other people because they are not greater than God is, and nothing anyone threatens to do to us will come to pass as long as we keep our trust in Him. If something unjust does happen, God will permit it only because He intends something better for us.

Many people forfeit their destiny due to the fear of other people. Don’t let this happen to you. God is with you, He is for you, and you can live in a large place without fear.

Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You that I don’t have to live in fear, because You are always with me and You love me. Bring me into a large, spacious place where I can enjoy my life and be a blessing to many people.
