God Wants To Hear From You

Hey everybody this is Joyce. I wanted to spend a few minutes talking to you today about the privilege of prayer. There is so much going on in our world right now, many things that we don’t understand, but God is never lost. He never doesn’t know what He’s doing and even when we don’t, God knows everything, understands everything, sees everything, and He’s the one that we can look to to fix the problem that we have today. We can’t fix it, we don’t know what to do, but God can fix it, so we need to pray.

Prayer sometimes can sound like this huge daunting thing that we think we are either not qualified to do or we’re not privileged enough to do, but prayer is simply talking to God. I want you to know that God wants to hear from you. We always talk about how we want to hear from God, but God wants to hear from you. He wants to hear your voice, and prayer really is just talking to God. You can talk to Him just like you would talk to me or like you would talk to a friend. Now God is holy, and we need to approach Him with a righteous and a reverential fear, not being afraid of Him, but knowing that He’s powerful and almighty. But, He’s your friend, and He wants to help you.

So, I want to encourage you to get a booklet that we have available to you as a free download called, How to Pray. I always like to say pray your way through the day. I like to start my mornings with some time with God, but then that’s not, “Okay God we’re done for the day and I’ll see you tomorrow morning.” I continue to pray my way through the day by simply talking to him about everything and anything that comes up. God loves you and He wants to hear from you. Prayer is not a duty or an obligation, it is a privilege. So, I want to encourage you to take all the advantage you can of that privilege and let God help you even more in these turbulent times that we’re in right now.
