Fenton, MO.– Joyce Meyer’s latest children’s book, When Worry Whispers, won the children’s book category for the 2024 Christian Book Award program during the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Leadership Summit held earlier this month in Chicago, Illinois. The Christian Book Award program has recognized the “best of the year” in Christian literature since 1978.

Joyce Meyer expressed her gratitude to the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association for receiving this prestigious award among so many noteworthy titles. “This award means a lot to me because this topic is so important,” said Joyce Meyer. “This book teaches kids that it’s okay to be nervous and that even when they feel scared, they can still do it afraid because God is always with them!”

“It’s always a joy to come together as a creative community to celebrate excellence in Christian publishing,” stated Jeff Crosby, ECPA president. “In their own distinctive ways, these books have made significant contributions in advancing Christian faith, practice, and understanding in a variety of genres. We extend our congratulations to each of the winning authors and publishers.”

When Worry Whispers, written by NY Times bestselling author and Bible teacher, Joyce Meyer, was illustrated by Marcin Piwowarski, and distributed by WorthyKids, a division of Hachette Book Group, Inc. The book was named one of 65 finalists among 12 book and Bible categories, as well as the work of 34 Christian publishers and imprints.

According to its website, the Christian Book Award® program has recognized the highest quality in Christian books since 1978. Based on excellence in content, literary quality, design and impact, the Christian Book Awards are the oldest and among the most prestigious awards in religious publishing.

Since 1974, ECPA has strengthened Christian publishing by building networking, information, and advocacy opportunities within the industry and throughout multiple channels so that its members can more effectively produce and deliver transformational Christian content.
