Joyce in Thailand
A Note from Joyce

What is unshakeable trust? Is it possible to have joy and peace in the middle of the storm? And how do we hold on to God when everything around us feels like it's falling apart?

The answer—though simple enough to say out loud—can be tough to walk out, to put into practice. However, in all things, through every challenge and trial, we can trust in a God who is unshakeable. We must choose faith over fear and believe beyond the circumstances in front of us.

Yes, 2017 was a year of shaking, but also of hope. As you look through pictures and read incredible stories of amazing people on this page, I want you to keep this in the forefront of your mind: these stories are your stories because you helped make it happen. Because of your generous heart and willingness to partner with us, many were in desperate need, but you helped come to their rescue.

So, what does 2017 represent for Joyce Meyer Ministries, and our outreach arm Hand of Hope, and all the incredible people God allowed us to help with your faithful support? How do we express our overwhelming gratitude? It’s really simple. Though the world looks to shake us, you have been an unshakeable force to those who cannot stand for themselves, and God remains unshakably faithful.

The lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him.
— Nahum 1:7 NLT
Water is an interesting thing
Water Is An Interesting Thing.

2017 was a difficult year for many as the world was shaken by multiple national disasters. When the hurricanes hit and the flood waters rose, they searched for stability in the storm.

For others, a lack of clean water was the problem. In so many communities, the water they have is usually filthy and filled with disease. And more often than not, this dirty and diseased water is miles away.

Your prayers and support reminded them that there is reason to hope...and they can trust their loving Father to work things out even when everything looks hopeless.

After Hurricane Irma hit Florida in September, so many families were without power for days on end. Through vital partnerships, we were able to reach out with the love of Christ and provide necessities like water, food and even charging stations for their phones.

In all, you provided relief after 16 natural disasters worldwide, including tornadoes, cyclones, wildfires, and earthquakes.

Your support also extended into remote communities across the globe, providing clean, fresh water for thousands of children and families.

A new Well of Life can change everything for a community. Where clean water was once scarce and expensive, people are now invited to partake freely, keeping them safe and introducing them to Christ’s love at the accompanying church.

And that’s just a drop in the bucket. In 2017, you helped us establish 86 new wells all over the world! And hundreds of wells drilled in previous years are still going strong and helping communities in 26 countries.

And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord almighty.
— 2 Corinthians 6:18 NLT
Unshakeable Resolve
One of our main resolves is to help those who cannot help themselves.

And through our Project GRL (Guide. Restore. Love.) initiative, your support is helping women and girls in 42 different countries by providing food, education, clean water, safe environments, the truth of God’s Word, and rescue from the horrors of human trafficking.

Whether it’s girls who must sacrifice education and even their own personal safety to take care of the family, or those living at a desperate level of poverty, God is using you to impact their lives in so many amazing ways.

Mayada, in Israel, is the fifth daughter in her Arab family...or, as she describes it, “the last chance” for her parents to have a son. She lived in shame most of her life, believing that she was an embarrassment to both her parents and to God. In her mind, she deserved the punishment she received each time her drug-addicted husband beat her.

Then, she started reading Joyce’s books and watching on television, and the Word of God began to sink into her heart. She was chosen, beautiful, cherished. Her life changed as she accepted the love of Christ and the truth that God was pleased with her.

You also brought life-changing help to Ahsing in Thailand, who came to the Gabrielle House after years of forced prostitution at a late-¬night restaurant. At the home, she has found healing for her heart through the love of Christ and has come to know Him as her Savior. She is pursuing her passion for cooking and feeling hopeful about a new beginning with her son.

Mayada and Ahsing are just two of the thousands of precious women and girls you impacted in 2017 through your generous prayers and support.

By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.
— John 13:35 AMP
Unshakeable Love
We will hear the cry of the broken.

How can we make an impact on those who feel lost and alone? The simple answer is love.

When Jesus said, “Love your neighbor,” He meant for us to care for all those around us—those who are near and far. Through your support, we have taken the light of God’s love to our “neighbors” everywhere—in nursing homes, inner-city neighborhoods, prison cells, and even deep in the heart of Zambia.

Children in the most rural parts of Zambia have so little, and it’s difficult logistically to reach them. You’re helping to develop “Island of Hope” pontoon boats that travel down the Zambezi River, stopping at various points for worship, a lesson about Jesus, and lots of fun games.

In East Africa, you made it possible for us to launch a new, state-of-the-art malnutrition clinic. Here, so many children are literally on the brink of starvation, and the need is great. Your support has already allowed us to change the lives of hundreds of precious children who were severely malnourished.

In addition, through temporary medical/dental outreaches in locations like Cambodia and Haiti, last year you helped provide free care and medicine for 31,980 patients. More than 12,693 of them also received Jesus Christ during their visit!

In 2017, your love in action impacted lives all around the world—reaching the homeless in Maryland, providing critical support to single mothers in West Virginia, and continuing to transform the innercity of St. Louis, Missouri through the St. Louis Dream Center church.

You are my refuge and my shield, and your promises are my only source of hope.
— Psalm 119:114 TLB
Unshakeable Hope
All Who Hunger Will Be Satisfied.

When we feed a child on the brink of starvation or treat the wounds of a leprosy patient, the question we often hear is, “Why did you come to help me?” For these precious people, your support has created a lifeline of hope, and often the first introduction to their loving Father.

In South Africa, through our Classrooms of Hope, so many amazing children in the Eastern Cape now have a safe place to learn, play, eat a nutritious meal and hear about the love of Jesus. Through your support, 20 new Classrooms of Hope were completed in 2017.

In India, you also support Embrace a Village, an outreach where leprosy patients can receive vital care and medical treatment. You provide them with life–changing footwear that helps prevent their feet from developing ulcers and infections.

When Santhi discovered she had leprosy, most of her family abandoned her…causing her to live in isolation. However, she regularly ventures out of her home to receive care at the medical center. She said it’s the place where people talk to her and are kind…and it’s the place where she decided to follow Jesus.

You are also bringing hope to so many children at our feeding center in Malawi, where they enjoy nutritious meals for their growing bodies. In fact, last year you made it possible for us to serve 29 million meals on 5 continents.

It is because of you that we are able to help those who cannot help themselves...and watch as their lives are beautifully transformed.

…We laughed, we sang…we were the talk of the nations—"God was wonderful to them!" God was wonderful to us; we are one happy people.
— Psalm 126:2-3 MSG
Unshakeable Joy
Because Access to the Gospel is for All.

Jesus said, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]” (John 10:10 AMP).

You are the hands of this ministry. Each time the Gospel is shared through our broadcast, conferences, books, or even a social media post—bringing the joy of Jesus Christ into people’s hearts—you have a part in it.

For instance, in 2017, Joyce held 12 U.S. conferences, sharing the Gospel message from coast to coast. During these conferences, hearts are healed and people receive new life in Christ as they hear the truth of God’s Word.

Last year, Joyce’s Enjoying Everyday Life program broadcasted this truth into 91 different languages around the world—from some of the most remote villages in Africa, to nations across Europe, and even in several nations “closed” to the Gospel.

In the Middle East, for instance, Joyce is a teacher and a role model for many Arab women who desperately need to hear what God says about who they are.

Your support has also allowed us to reach China, where we’ve distributed resources to people in the underground church. Joyce has even had the incredible opportunity to encourage many of their leaders in person when hundreds of pastors gathered together for a time of worship and training.

In everything we do and everywhere we go, we know there is power in God’s Word to change people and make their lives better—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and in every other way.

...Love one another as I have loved you.
— John 15:12 NKJV

We are extremely grateful to you, our partners. Your trust, resolve, love, hope and joy continually encourage, equip and inspire us to do more and reach further. From challenge to triumph, from mourning to dancing, from darkness to the light of God’s truth, this year is a reflection of what it looks like when we choose to stand upon God’s Word. How to respond with trust when it doesn’t initially make sense, even when everything points in a different direction. And to see the faithfulness of God who brings joy in the morning. We simply cannot thank you enough.

Share Christ, Love People
Because every dollar equals another full belly, smile, access to education and the saving love of Christ.
