God’s Power in You

Scripture

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” - Acts 1:8 (NIV)

As God’s children, we don’t have to live weak, wimpy, pitiful, pathetic, barely-getting-by lives. We can have His power working in us to enable us to do whatever we need to do in life! When we are in Christ, we are supernaturally anointed to live our natural, ordinary lives in supernatural ways.

The key to accessing God’s power is to understand how much we need Him to do anything we do in life. The truth is, whether we realize it or not, we’re all desperate for God every minute of every day. Because apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. (John 15:5).

Study Suggestion

Read Ephesians 3:20, 2 Timothy 1:7, and 2 Peter 1:3. Think about these scriptures and write down what they mean to you. Then ask God to show you ways you can live in His power and strength and not your own.
