Helping Military Families Across the United States @tag1>
We’ve had several opportunities to reach out to children heading back to school across the United States. @tag2>
In 2016, we had the opportunity to reach out to children heading back to school across the United States. Two of these outreaches took place in Hampton, Virginia, and Long Beach, California. These two outreaches were special in their own way because of the specific families we were able to reach..
By partnering with They Serve 2 (TS2), we were able to distribute over 1,200 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in military families. TS2 is an organization made up of military spouses and families supporting each other as families go through difficult times of relocation or deployment.
Hand of Hope provided all of the backpacks and partnered with attendees at Joyce’s conferences in the same cities to provide the school supplies through Multiply Hope. Through this campaign, attendees at each conference are encouraged to donate items like diapers, wipes, underwear, socks or school supplies to help families in their own community.
We are extremely grateful for these military families and their willingness to serve our nation. It has been an honor to provide a little bit of help to these families as they go through trying seasons.
Thank you for partnering with us to reach these families and so many others around the world.
