What to Do When Fear Is Holding You Back

Scripture

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. - 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)

Have you ever experienced the kind of fear that tries to hold you back when you begin to move forward in life? The Bible says in Hebrews 10:38 that we are to live by faith and not draw back in fear. In other words, faith is an attitude that can become your way of life.

Faith is confidence in God and a belief that His promises are true that replaces fear and worry with peace and joy. It will cause you to go forward and to try new things. Stand in faith, be thankful for God's promises, and boldly pursue what God has put in your heart to do. Choose to walk in faith, trusting God's promises today!

Fear Is Not from God

Joyce shares an encouraging word about putting your faith in God to overcome fear.

Tip

“Whether we walk in faith or fear is a decision we must make many times throughout our lives.”
