Guatemala | December 5-12, 2020

Join us December 5-12, 2020 as we return to majestic Guatemala for our sixth clinic. We are excited to be partnering with The Shalom Foundation who is based in the heart of Guatemala City.

Why go to Guatemala?

  • Half of the population is under 19 years old (making it the youngest population in Latin America). It is a country of children who are in need of medical care.
  • Almost 60% of the people live below the poverty line (15% lives in extreme poverty) — hundreds of thousands exist in extreme poverty.
  • Due to chronic malnutrition, disease and severe lack of medical services, Guatemala holds the third highest stunting rate in the world* (Over 40% of children under 5 are chronically malnourished).
  • Over 40% of the population lack access to any healthcare services* (Only .93 physicians to every 10,000 people).
  • Guatemala has the highest child mortality rate in Central America.
  • The needs for medical and dental care are extreme and urgent

Medical and dental outreaches will take place in and around Guatemala City. During the outreach we will help many of the sick and hurting who would otherwise go without the treatment they need. We will set up a general medical/dental clinic and treat the patients’ needs as they present. We will also pray with all of our patients’ and give them an opportunity to receive Christ. The team will be staying in a hotel, based in Guatemala City.
