FAQ

Can I sign up to be a volunteer?
Your involvement as a volunteer is welcomed and appreciated! We are currently recruiting ushers to serve at the 2008 Women’s Convention. Learn more about volunteering.

Can my husband attend?
This particular convention is designed especially for women. The only men allowed to attend will be Joyce’s staff and special guests. However, both men and women are welcome at all other Joyce Meyer Ministries conferences.

I’m physically challenged and my travel companion is male. Can he come with me?
For more information concerning this question, please call our convention line at 1-888-727-5280.

Is child care provided?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide child care.

Are newborn babies allowed?
Yes, but there is not a designated area for nursing mothers.

Is there a dress code?
Although some people enjoy dressing up, there will be women in various kinds of attire.

Can I just call the hotel directly to make my reservation or do I have to go through the housing bureau to book my hotel?
Please contact the housing bureau for all hotel reservations, beginning June 2, 2008. This helps protect the ministry from penalties for unused rooms, as well as helps us properly track how many rooms have been booked. (Reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis.)

Does Joyce Meyer Ministries provide shuttles to and from the airport?
Transportation is not provided by Joyce Meyer Ministries to and from the airport, though many of the airport hotels do provide that service. (Services provided by each contracted hotel will be indicated in the hotel information section of this site by June 2, 2008.)

Does Joyce Meyer Ministries provide shuttles to and from the hotels?
Complimentary shuttle service to and from the Edward Jones Dome is available for contracted hotels located near the airport and most contracted hotels located downtown. (Some are within walking distance.)

Where can we park our charter bus?
For accurate information, please contact the Edward Jones Dome online or by phone at (314) 342-5201.

Will our bags be inspected at the entrance to the Edward Jones Dome?
There are times when security is heightened. If the Dome Security Team feels this is necessary, your patience and cooperation will be appreciated.

How many seats can I save?
Two, in addition to your own.

Can we leave our things on our seats to save them for the next session?
It is not recommended but is allowed between sessions on Saturday only. To protect your belongings, remember not to leave anything of value on your seats. Joyce Meyer Ministries is not responsible for and cannot guarantee the safety of your personal property.

Should I take my things with me if I respond to the altar call?
Yes.

Can my friends come with me if I respond to the altar call
Yes.

Will there be special seating for those in wheelchairs, and can my friends or family sit with me in a reserved section?
Please enter the Edward Jones Dome at the Broadway Entrance for elevator access or Entrance A. Doors will open 15 minutes early for the physically challenged. There will be a special seating area reserved for those in wheelchairs. Up to 2 female companions may sit with you in that area, in seats labeled Guests of Individual in Wheelchair. If you need a wheelchair accessible shuttle, please call Joyce Meyer Ministries at 1-888-727-5280.

Can I meet Joyce or have my picture taken with her?
Though Joyce would love to meet you and accommodate picture requests, because of her busy schedule, as well as the number of attendees, she will be unable to do so. Also, please note that flash photography during the sessions can alter video production and is therefore respectfully prohibited.

Where can I go to eat during the convention?
Inside the Edward Jones Dome, you can purchase food, snacks and beverages at various concession stands. There are also several restaurants within walking distance of the dome. On Saturday only, preordered box lunches will be available between sessions. Purchase a box lunch.

What if I don’t receive my registration card(s) in the mail prior to the convention?
