by Joyce Meyer Ministries - posted August 06, 2014

  • Cleveland outreach invites local community for a day of activities and fun
  • Event is free and will include backpack and school supply giveaways, food, and haircuts for children
  • Saturday, August 9 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Journey Community Church Fairview Park Campus

(Cleveland, OH) This Saturday, Journey Community Church will host its annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway for the local community. The event is sponsored by Hand of Hope, the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries in conjunction with A Greater Cause Network.

The event will include free hot dogs, inflatables, haircuts for children and various other activities. During the event, nearly 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies will be given away to attendees. Many of the school items to be distributed were donated by attendees of the Joyce Meyer Ministries conference in Cleveland this past April.

“We are excited to partner with Journey Community Church to share hope with the local community,” Hand of Hope Director of Domestic Outreach Mike Messner said. “This event is a great opportunity to equip children for the new school year, as well as give them a chance to have some fun.”

Activities will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Journey Community Church’s Fairview Park Campus at 21220 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, OH 44126.
