(St. Louis, MO) Beware of large groups of people with ladders and rakes out
and about this weekend. Thousands of volunteers will gather Saturday for the 5th
Annual Serve St. Louis, an event aimed at reaching out to the local community. Hundreds
of outreach activities will be taking place, including yard work, house and business
cleaning, home repairs, common area clean up and more. St. Louis’s own St.
Louis Dream Center, an outreach of Joyce Meyer Ministries, will be one of three
“command centers”, assisting in mobilizing these outreaches all over
Around 8,000 volunteers and 100 churches are expected to participate in Saturday’s
event, and Joyce Meyer Ministries is thrilled to be a part of it. “So many
people around the city just need a little help,” says Alex Bryant, Director
of the St. Louis Dream Center. “We just want to encourage them, while at the
same time, meeting some of their basic needs.”
Local St. Louis residents are encouraged drop off clothing, food, blankets, etc.
to the St. Louis Dream Center. Many of the projects throughout the day will be family-friendly,
so everyone is welcome to join. If you are interested in donating items or volunteering
at one of the outreach sites, you can visit www.servestlouis.com.

About the St. Louis Dream Center
An outreach arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries, the St. Louis Dream Center was founded
in 2000 by Dave and Joyce Meyer to be a healing place for a hurting world. With
nearly 30 community programs conducted each year, the Dream Center reaches thousands
of disadvantaged children and families in St. Louis, impacting their neighborhoods
and quality of life. The Dream Center provides meals to the hungry and assists the
homeless. Staff and volunteers make visits to area homes, nursing and retirement
communities offering prayer, gifts, companionship and comfort. For more information,

Photo opportunities and media interviews will be available upon request. Please
