NFL Leading Take-Away Player Participates in Give-Away For Local Community

by Joyce Meyer Ministries - posted December 12, 2012

  • Tim Jennings and Johnny Knox of the Chicago Bears will participate in an outreach for the residents of inner-city Chicago in Partnership with Joyce Meyer Ministries Hand of Hope
  • Saturday, December 15 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at New Life Covenant Church
  • Event will be free and will include food, games and other activities for the entire family

Several prominent NFL players, including Tim Jennings, will join Chicago residents this Saturday, December 15, for an event that aims to reach an impoverished area in Chicago. Taking place at New Life Covenant Church, this event is sponsored by Hand of Hope, the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries, in conjunction with New Life Covenant Church and Straight From the Heart Missions, and will feature entertainment, games, coat giveaways, haircuts and a meet and greet session with NFL players.

Along with other teammates, Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings will be part of Saturday's activities. While Jennings is the current leader in the league for the most interceptions, and has been called one of the biggest game-changers in the NFL, he is looking forward to helping change the lives of those in need. "I'm excited to have the opportunity to give back," says Jennings.

Johnny Knox, wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, cohosted this event last year and will be in attendance on Saturday. "It was such a successful event last year," says Knox. "I'm looking forward to doing it again." Knox also participated in the New Orleans version of this event previously this year.

Activities take place from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at New Life Covenant Church, located at 5100 West Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL 60639. This event is sponsored by Joyce Meyer Ministries Hand of Hope, New Life Covenant Church and Straight From the Heart Missions.
