Local Organization Aids in Hurricane Sandy Relief

by Joyce Meyer Ministries - posted November 02, 2012

  • Meals and cleaning supplies are being distributed to victims of the massive east coast hurricane
  • Multiple distribution sites will be set-up in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania

ST. LOUIS -

Joyce Meyer Ministries, through its Hand of Hope missions arm, has partnered with Convoy of Hope, DRADT and the New York Dream Center to bring immediate short-term assistance and aid to the many families and individuals devastated by Hurricane Sandy, which has ravaged much of the east coast.

Hand of Hope, along with the previously mentioned organizations, is providing meals and cleaning supplies to those affected by the storm. Millions have been left without power, homes have flooded or burned, and families have lost loved ones. In order to best meet these needs, Convoy of Hope trucks are being positioned near disaster zones in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, three of the areas hit hardest by Sandy.

"We had relief efforts preparing on the ground as the storm was approaching and we are ready to stay and help as long as we possibly can," says David Meyer, CEO of Hand of Hope. "This will be a long-term effort."
