Darlynette's Story

by Chuck Chapman

In 2008, Anna lost her son in a motorcycle accident that sent her into a deep depression. That’s when she “met” Joyce via Enjoying Everyday Life on television.

For Anna, the encouraging message of God’s hope she heard that day helped lift her from the despair she was under. “I didn’t care about anybody or anything, and she helped me get out of that.” As a result, Anna’s daughter, Darlynette, saw how this message changed her mother and began watching Joyce with her mom.

Last summer, Darlynette was working her job at a local organic grocery store near Hershey, PA, when a member of Joyce’s staff, who was in Hershey for a conference, came in to get some whipping cream. When the staff member heard how God encouraged Darlynette’s family, and that Darlynette’s birthday would be while Joyce was speaking in Hershey, the staff member invited Darlynette and her family to the conference.

That’s a great story, but there’s more. Anna, Darlynette, and a friend, Victoria, decided to travel to St. Louis for the 2013 Love Life Women’s Conference. Victoria had seen Joyce before in Hershey, but God spoke directly to her heart during Joyce’s Thursday night message. Victoria, along with 991 other ladies, surrendered her life to Jesus Christ that night.

From tragedy to TV to a “chance” meeting at a grocery store, two lives were restored and a soul was saved. That’s just one example of God working through the Love Life Women’s Conference.
