, cofounded by Nick and Christine Caine, has that same passion and vision to build up the church and take justice to the people.
Through conferences, consulting, coaching, as well as media, books and audiovisual resources, they are reaching a vast range of individual needs within the local church on a global scale.
Joyce Meyer Ministries partners with Equip & Empower to help fund two vital projects, Project Europe and The A21 Campaign.
Project Europe
In 1900, Europe was home to 70 percent of the world’s Christians. Today it’s less than 1 percent.
With the exception of Islam, all religions are declining. Churches are abandoned and families are no longer attending services.
This is why Equip & Empower has such a heart for the people of Europe. They are building alliances with local people, churches and denominations to bring the Gospel back to this entire continent.
Through leadership training, church planting, events, networking, mentoring, and raising and training effective leaders to reach Europe for Christ, Equip & Empower Ministries is living their mission to serve the local church. Working with church leaders, organizations and individuals, they are inspiring and helping them connect with their God-given potential and purpose.
The A21 Campaign
Equip & Empower also believes it is the responsibility of the Church to rise up and bring justice to those trapped in a life of human trafficking, by encouraging churches and ministries to participate in The A21 Campaign.
There are currently 27 million people trapped in this lifestyle. And Zoe was one of them.
When the Equip & Empower team in Greece first met Zoe, they had no idea what to expect. She was about to be the first resident of the campaign’s first shelter for victims of human trafficking. They’d spent months planning for this moment, but that December night was a first for this ministry.
Zoe had spent five hours on the bus alone. The police told her that someone would be waiting to collect her. As the crowd cleared at the bus station, she stood with eyes to the ground. She simply nodded when asked if she was Zoe.
It took days for her to look anyone in the eyes. She had come to Greece from another country in eastern Europe 3 years earlier to pursue a better life. What she thought would be a waitressing job turned into an unthinkable nightmare. Moving from brothel to brothel, Zoe was forced to service up to 60 men a day.
Soon after she arrived at the shelter, Zoe had an emergency operation to remove her appendix, which she said had been hurting for a while. Christine met Zoe not long after her surgery, and after hearing her story, that statistic of 27 million turned into one…and one became worth more than everything they had done to prepare this ministry.
The A21 Campaign staff helped Zoe get a visa to stay in Greece, gain vocational training, find a job, and move into her very own apartment. Zoe even started attending the local church and on her second Sunday there, she responded to the salvation altar call…both hands raised and tears streaming down her face.
Today, because of your support and the staff at Equip & Empower, Zoe is a confident and free woman—shoulders back, head held high and a bright smile on her face. She’s even looking to help women just the way The A21 Campaign helped her.
“While there are an estimated 27 million trafficking victims in slavery right now, Zoe has shown me that The A21 Campaign exists for the one – and when we love each one – slowly, the statistics start to change,” shares Christine Caine.
