TV and Radio

To the Ends of the Earth
It had been 38 years since Daniel first started doing drugs. What once seemed harmless had turned into a growing obsession, leaving him and everyone he loved in unimaginable pain. Daniel’s addiction had often cost him up to $300 a day. And now, it was about to cost him his life.

With nothing more to live for, Daniel decided to shoot up one last time to finally end it all. Hating his life and hating himself, he eventually blacked out.

To his surprise, Daniel woke up several hours later to the sound of Joyce Meyer’s voice. He looked up and saw her on his television screen. He wasn’t one to watch “those Christian programs,” but tonight it got his attention.

Joyce was open, real, honest and caring. And before Daniel knew it, he started praying. It was the beginning of a whole new life.

Today Daniel is drug free and enjoying a relationship with God that he never thought possible. Daniel’s story is just one of thousands we receive each month from people whose lives have been transformed by our Enjoying Everyday Life program

Reaching More Than Two-Thirds of the World
In fact, through your support, we reach over two-thirds of the world through the Enjoying Everyday Life program. For instance:

  • Our Enjoying Everyday Life broadcasts air on more than 450 TV stations and over 400 radio stations, reaching a potential audience of 3 billion.
  • In 2007 we began airing our TV program in 4 additional languages—Mongolian, Bosnian, Slovak and Turkish—bringing our total to 34 languages in all.
  • Enjoying Everyday Life TV and radio programs were consistently ranked among iTunes’ top “religion/spirituality” podcasts.

Every new station and each new language simply means one thing—we have the ability to reach even more people for Jesus Christ. And so many times, television can go where we cannot.

Al-Hayat is a perfect example. Joyce’s program is dubbed in Arabic and airs on this network eight times a day throughout the Middle East. So, although we can’t physically go and evangelize this entire region, our telecasts can reach a large segment of the population.

One young man wrote to us from Iran: “I got saved four months ago through your TV programs. One of my friends named Alireza got saved about twenty days earlier than me. After we gave our hearts to Jesus, He set both of us free from drugs. Later, we found a river near our small town and we baptized each other!”

The ability to make such a personal impact in a nation so closed to the Gospel almost seems impossible. But in reality, our opportunities only to continue to grow.

How to Reach the Unreachable
“One of our main goals is to reach the younger generation and those who don’t know about Christ,” says David George, Radio Producer. “The people we’re trying to reach aren’t necessarily in church—they’re at home on their computer, watching TV, or they’re texting people on their phones…so we have to go where they are.”

That’s one of the reasons behind Everyday Moments. Everyday Moments turns Joyce’s practical radio teachings into 90-second pieces for people to download free of charge.

And people seem to like it. Everyday Moments is steadily climbing the iTunes charts, meaning we’re getting the Gospel into new, unreachable territory.
