Providing a Future to Those Left Behind

In countries all around the world, you have helped build safe havens of love and support for hundreds of children at risk.

Nothing is more heartbreaking than a child with no one to care for them. Often times children end up on the street, fending for themselves. They battle hunger, sickness...or even worse.

Through your support, Joyce Meyer Ministries currently fully funds forty-six children’s homes worldwide and also partially supports three others.

Nineteen of our homes are located in India, a nation that has become notorious for its expansive slums. Many die prematurely, leaving behind children who have no one to care for them. These children often become “ragpickers,” making about $1 a day sorting through the trash of others.

We also have twenty-four homes in Cambodia and the Golden Triangle nations of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Here, we are rescuing young boys and girls from the unthinkable. In tough times, it is not uncommon for parents to sell their own children. These, and many others living on the streets, often become involved in human trafficking, one of the fastest-growing industries in the world.

For just $21 a month, we are able to provide a child with a loving atmosphere, home-cooked meals and a safe environment. But that’s not all. Your support also allows us to equip them with two of the greatest keys for lifelong success—a quality education and instruction in the Word of God.

“We believe our work would all be worth it just to save one child,” says David L. Meyer, CEO of Hand of Hope. “But the truth is, with the help of our friends and partners, we are rescuing hundreds of precious lives that will be transformed both now and for eternity.”

Words from Shelly: Each Precious Life

"I love to visit our children’s projects around the world. I wish all of our partners could see the smiles and feel the hugs from these precious lives that are being touched—these beautiful children who once were hungry, thirsty, hurting, afraid, alone, and, worst of all, Shelly Meyer holding a sleeping child from one of our children's homes.without hope for a better life.

Through our children’s homes we can give them a safe place to live, nutritious food, a great education, a family, and a bright future. When we think of the millions who still need help, it can be overwhelming.

But when you consider them one at a time…each precious little life we touch makes a difference. There are millions of other children still hopeless in the world, and we may not be able to help them all. But with God’s leading and the support of our friends and partners, we will do our best to touch as many lives as we can."

Koras Story, Testimony from Thailand.

As a small child, Kora’s father wasn’t around, and his mother was always working the streets as a prostitute. So, as a baby he moved in with his aunt and uncle. Smiling Kora, holding a soccer ball above his head.

Their home was a constant party and Kora was just three years old the first time they got him drunk. This is the life of so many in Chiang Rai, Thailand—a city shaped by the sex and drug industries. But unlike the others, Kora found a way out.

Bethel Children’s Homes, fully funded by Joyce Meyer Ministries, works to find children like Kora and offer them a fresh start. When he first arrived, Kora was angry and disobedient.

But now, at eleven years old, the joy all over his face tells you he’s changed. He’s forgiven his family and prays for them every day...and he wants them to experience the same joy and freedom that he has found in Jesus.
